After selection of site or land for home a prayer (Puja) is performed which is called "Bhumi Poojan". In this puja, we take permission form Bhumi Maa to give us all the happiness & material comfort by removing all the obstacles.
Select a Muhurat or an auspicious date for Bhumi pujan. Pit a dug in the Northeast corner or middle of the selected land. Put five new bricks in the pit, place a red cloth on it after that take a Copper Kalash, pour some Ganga jal, Panchgavya, Panchamrit and place a Coconut on it with some Mangos and Ashoka leaves. At last place all these items on the Red cloth with a Dharmik Granth, fruit, offer some sweets to all the Gods and pray for you well being. Close this Pit with the soil and spray Ganga jal on all sides of the plot to reduce the negative effect and getting the work done easily.
